Fourteen competitors from across the United States gathered in New York City on Wednesday, November 15th for the 2017 Espolón COCKtail Fights Nationals.

The National Championship experience started with competitors arriving in New York on November 14th where they met with the other finalist for a team activity at Royal Palms Shuffle Board Club and team dinner. The competition was held Wednesday night at The House of Yes, a funky venue that showcases dance, circus, theater, and cabaret performances in a former ice warehouse. After going head to head, we are excited to announce the 2017 Espolón COCKtail fights National Champion...

Here is Ryan's winning recipe...

The Blood of the Fallen

2 oz Espolón Reposado

1 oz fresh beet juice

3/4 oz lemon juice

3/4 oz agave nectar

3/4 oz spiced chocolate sauce

(Spiced chocolate sauce 0.25 oz grated white chocolate 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tsp Ancho Chile powder 1/2 tsp cayenne powder 0.5 oz pink peppercorns 2 cups water 1 cup white sugar Crack peppercorns and immersion blend all ingredients together. Strain through a mesh nylon bag.)
