Chapter: Las Vegas, Nevada
Number of Years in the Industry: 14
Where did you grow up, and what was it like there?
I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was simply amazing! I was raised by a musician and a hippie so life was all about nature, laughter and love.
Favorite childhood memory?
Horseback riding with my father every Sunday.
Where do you work and what do you do there?
I work at Buddy V's Ristorante. I am a bartender with lots of freedom to play with the menu and train new bar staff members. I love it! This is The Cake Boss' first restaurant of many and it has been amazing!
What is the most rewarding part of your career?
To be surrounded by passionate individuals that want to elevate and perfect their craft, while giving back to the city is very rewarding. I'm honored to be part of it and learn every day. We are the largest chapter and are extremely active. This family is like no other and it is definitely the best thing about being a bartender in Vegas: the people!
What is your favorite bartending moment?
At our 2015 Christmas party I won The Armando Rosario Award selected by my peers and Vegas council. I had no idea! I believe that it was the first time in my life that I had no words. It's allowing me to experience Tales Of The Cocktails for the first time! I'm so ready!
What do you do to relax outside of work?
Love working out only cause I love eating even more. And, I have an extremely dorky side: I'm a fan of anime and Steampunk.
Tell us about your dream vacation:
My bucket list still has a vacation in Fiji. A little hut in the water with no TV. Just a bed surrounded by water...

Advice you could offer to others:
Work hard, never stop learning, smile and have fun!
Who do you look up to?
There is a group of lovely ladies here in Las Vegas that I love and admire: Mariena Mercer is most certainly on that list! To be successful in a boys' club and stay loving, classy, original and innovative...that is successful!
Xania Woodman! You just have to love a lady with brains and beauty.
The sisterhood of the tatas! You know who you are!
Tell us something unusual or unique about yourself that we might not know.
I hug trees and hike El Yunque rainforest barefoot. I am a wild monkey in a city of lights. I am very shy but hide it well... I think!
What does the future hold for you?
I will retire in a sail boat with my husband discovering all the bar shacks on the beaches of the Caribbean...'til then, I will work hard and represent in this lovely city.
