Bartenders nationwide are vying to become the 2025 World Class US Bartender of the Year for the opportunity to compete at the World Class Global Finals! The World Class judging panel narrowed hundreds of applications down to The Top 100 after carefully evaluating each entry.
The Top 100 bartenders were tasked with breathing new life into a retro classic cocktail and pushing it into the future of cocktail culture.
For this challenge, they had to create a cohesive three-drink menu representing the serve’s past, present and future. One cocktail of their choosing from their menu was recreated, blind-tasted, and scored by our panel of esteemed judges to narrow it down to the final Top 30.
The Top 30 competitors will be tested on, among other skills:
The ability to highlight the flavor profile of a Bulleit variant in a cocktail that pairs with an iconic southern dish inspired by Atlanta.
The ability to draw inspiration from the vibrant heart of Mexican commerce and community life to create cocktails using locally sourced ingredients and storytelling to enhance their presentation of their serve
How well they can create quality serves – quickly in a cohesive menu inspired by a pop-up theme of their choosing.
The Top 30 (ten finalists per region) will advance to the Nationals Finals in Atlanta, GA on May 18-20, 2025. Only ONE bartender will advance to the World Class Global Finals in Toronto– the 2025 World Class US Bartender of the Year!
