Women have always been involved in all aspects of alcohol production and consumption – whether forbidden of them or not. The Scotch Whisky industry is a storied tapestry of incredible women, both past and present, who have made significant contributions to the industry. Without a few key women, it’s likely that we wouldn’t have the category of Scotch whisky as we know it today! Join Darian Everding for a brief overview of women’s history in alcohol and distillation, an introduction to some of the key women in Scotch whisky past and present you should know, and brainstorm ideas about how to share their stories with your guests to meaningfully elevate their guest experience.
