HENDERSON, NV (SEPTEMBER 10, 2025) - Today, the USBG National Charity Foundation and Campari America announce that more than 1,000 volunteers have signed up to participate in the seventh annual Campari Day of Service, to be held on September 17th, 2024. Volunteers are projected to contribute thousands of hours to non-profit organizations across the country.

Bartenders give back: Since 2018, the Campari Day of Service has existed to increase participation among hospitality industry professionals in  service activities in their local communities.

Said USBG National Charity Foundation President, Kyle McHugh, “Service is central to the mission of the USBG National Charity Foundation. From restocking food pantries, to delivering nutritious meals to those in need, to building a raised vegetable garden, bartenders from across the country are setting a positive example by giving back.”

New United States Bartenders’ Guild Executive Director Bo Shuff said, “Bars, pubs and restaurants are part of the fabric of every community. Our sense of service extends beyond the bar to the communities where we live and work. For the 7th year, hundreds of bartenders will give thousands of hours back to our neighbors through the Campari Day of Service. These are people in over 50 cities nationwide giving of their own time, once again demonstrating how invested bartenders are in making their communities better places to live.”

Among the programs:

Kentucky: In Newport, Bartenders will visit with senior citizens at the Brighton Center and celebrate the day with a Bingo and pizza party. Just down the road, in Frankfort, another team of bartenders are bringing their culinary skills to cook lunch at Access Soup Kitchen & Men’s Shelter.

New York: In Brooklyn, bartenders will spend time engaging with senior citizens to benefit Granny & Me, while in Manhattan, bartenders will build a raised planter for vegetables at a supportive housing program benefitting Services For the Underserved.

Georgia: Atlanta-based bartenders head to A Sip of Paradise Garden to work in the garden, paint fences, do some weeding and turning of compost, and organize in the shed.

California: Bartenders have committed to beach clean-up duties in Los Angeles, Long Beach and Santa Monica.

South Carolina: In Charleston, roughly a dozen volunteer bartenders are partnered with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources to build manufactured wired reefs to help the state’s coastline.

Vermont: In Manchester, a group is helping out with agricultural and environmental clean-up at the Farm and Forest Living Lab at Smokey House Center.

USBG staff and Board of Directors members will be participating in California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington.
